By uncompromisingly observing the standards of integrity and ethics in all business relationships both inside and outside the organisation in which they are employed;<br \/>\n2. By promoting the highest possible level of professional competence among those for whom they are responsible;<br \/>\n3. By optimising the use of the recourses for which they are responsible in order to earn maximum income to their employer;<br \/>\n4. By refraining from unfair competition;<br \/>\n5. By ensuring confidentiality of the business secrets of both their employer as well as cooperation partners;<br \/>\n6. In addition to this code of ethics by complying with:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>The laws of the Republic of Estonia;<\/li>\n<li>The articles of association of the Estonian Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Association and instructions for professional operation issued by the Estonian Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Association;<\/li>\n<li>Any contractual obligations assumed;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>7. By rejecting and cancelling any wrong business practice and<br \/>\n8. By improving purchasing and supply chains management professionalism and recognition through acquiring, preserving and developing current technical knowledge.<br \/>\n9. By paying much attention to good relations with colleagues and cooperation partners and by refraining from damaging mutual relations among the members of the association;<br \/>\n10. By refraining from any incorrect or humiliating comments with regard to any other member of the association, their knowledge and\/or professional activity.<br \/>\n<strong>Recommendation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The members are recommended to be guided by the following advice:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Declaration of interests.<\/strong>\u00a0The employer must be informed of any professional interests concerning the neutrality of the employee or which are related to his duties and which may prejudice the interests other persons or exceed any permitted limits in the opinion of others;<br \/>\n<strong>2. Confidentiality and correctness of information.<\/strong>\u00a0The confidentiality of any information obtained in the course of work duties must be honoured and it must not be misused for the purpose of gaining personal profit. Any information given must be correct and fair and must not be misleading;<br \/>\n<strong>3. Competition.<\/strong>\u00a0Keeping in mind the advantages of the employer of the member upon keeping lasting relationships with their cooperation partners, any such agreements must be avoided that may hinder fair competition in the long term;<br \/>\n<strong>4. Business gifts.<\/strong>\u00a0To preserve the reputation and integrity of both the member as well as the employer, no valuable business gifts should be accepted. Gifts, except for any objects of small value, should not be accepted;<br \/>\n<strong>5. Hospitality.\u00a0<\/strong>Moderate hospitality is regarded as acceptable politeness in business relationships. Regardless of this the beneficiaries should not allow this to have an impact on their business decisions.<br \/>\nThe frequency and scale of accepted hospitality should not be considerably higher compared to with what the employer agrees to respond.<br \/>\n6. If there are any doubts concerning whether the gifts and hospitality are acceptable or not, the offer should be rejected or your superior should be consulted.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div><\/div><!--close column table wrapper.
